Erik Sven Gunnar Karlsson is a defense man for the Ottawa Senators. His number is 65 and you won't miss it. He is right handed for shooting. He has a wife named Therese and don't have any kids yet. He is 27 years old and is 5 ft 11 in and weighs 180 lbs. That is a little bit about Erik Karlsson.
The NHL Starts Off Shortly
The NHL league games start in 7 days. The NHL is finishing making there picks for all there teams for this years team 2014/2015. All the teams are starting to go in training camps and having there team practices. All the NHL players have been waiting for the season to start so they can get out there with all their buddy's. Erik Karlsson has received many awards and medals in the last years. He has got them from WJC the Olympics and in the NHL. Erik Karlsson works very hard to receive the medals and awards. He is a hard worker and keeps up his hard work to get the awards he does. When he played in WJC he received the Best Defenceman, All Star Team, and the Best Defenceman again in the years 2008 to 2009. Then in 2014 when he played in the Olympics he got and award for the All Star Team and the Best Defenceman for the third time in the past years. Next when he started playing in the NHL he got the NHL All Star Game, the James Norris Memorial Trophy, and then He got the NHL First All Star Team and lately he has gotten the Viking Award. Those were the awards he has received in the past years from 2008 until 2012.
Erik Karlsson lately this year got the "C" on his Jersey. The "C" has been passed down a fair bit to many players at one time it was at Daniel Alferson and then it went to Jason Spezza and now Erik Karlsson has it. The reason it has been passed down so much is because they all have been signed to go to another team for the next year or years. Erik is a responsible person and knows hockey well. He is a smart player and makes great plays. He is defiantly the right one for it.

Some players change the style of there play after there wedding but karlsson didn't. He still is married to Therese and they don't plan on getting divorced. When Erik is off the ice he either goes and see's his wife or is training for hockey or taking tests to see how his health is.
